i always loved to write. my mother still has a short story i wrote when i was, i don’t know, maybe like 8 years old.

in middle school i finished a fantasy story, but deleted the only file on my computer by accident. thinking of it still haunts me to this day. around graduating high school i finished my first real novel, with around 150 pages. i was mad proud back then, but reading it now, you can clearly tell, i was right in the middle of finding my own style. while at university i wrote a lot without ever finishing a project. in 2018/2019 i started writing a story, but it lacked a common thread, so i got stuck without finding a solution.

then in 2023 i finally found something i wanted to tell, abandonned the previous story (I’ll come back to it, it’s still a nice idea) and started anew. it’s quite a challenge to get it done while working fulltime and taking care of a family. but i don’t need to rush, so i’m taking my time. everything is there: i found my style, my story and a common thread. i’m nowhere near the end, but my thinking was: if i tell now, maybe it will motivate me, to finish it soon.

so here we are.
